Welcome to the Dovecote, Hexham
Our Grade II listed, 18th century dovecote provides unique self-contained B&B accommodation.
Set in an acre of beautiful gardens, just across the lane from the main family home, we fully refurbished the Dovecote in 2009 and opened to guests that summer.
The stone built dovecote provides luxury accommodation over 2 floors and it is now a beautiful bedroom for 2 people with lovely views over the garden and the open countryside.
There is a double shower room and living area downstairs, with a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
We now also have 2 rooms available in the main house.
One is a double room with an en-suite bathroom; the other can be either double or twin and has an en-suite shower room.
In the morning you can either have continental breakfast or a hearty, locally sourced, full English breakfast.
We are less than half a mile from Hadrian's Wall and Chesters Roman Fort, on the edge of the Northumberland National Park.
The location is perfect for visiting Hadrian's Wall and the historic town of Hexham and is less than an hour from the Northumberland coast.
All major facilities can be found in Hexham 6 miles away.
There are local pubs serving homecooked meals and a Leisure Club (open to the public) with gym, sauna and swimming pool only 1 mile away.

Many of our guests are walking the Hadrians Wall Trail.
We can dry any wet boots or clothing in our house for you.
We can also provide home-cooked evening meals on request.
Many of our guests have found staying in the Dovecote, relaxing in the garden and taking their evening meal in our fabulous greenhouse to be one of the highlights of their week!
We will also prepare a packed lunch on request
